DESCRIPTION:As a target shooter or new to firearms… \nDo you tense up When you hear the words “Competition”? \nDo you start thinking “I’m not ready for this”\, “ I don’t think I’ll need that\, or even “Im not good enough to compete.”. \nOutpost Range is offering a new program “No new shooter left behind”. \nThis program is designed to promote new shooters to try shooting steel and join in with the monthly Pine Ridge Fun Shoots. \nThis new program offers: \nLarge size targets for practice with basic marksmanship. \nNo worries of competing against another shooter or a Timer. \nFriendly staff are Guiding you every step. \n  \nCome out and have Fun with other New shooters. \nFrom the staff at Outpost Range \nProgram Outline: \nStart with meet your Instructors Presentation. \n-a quick informative Safety Briefing/Hand gun fundamentals/Shoot Steel discussion. \nRange Communication or Commands- \n“Make Ready” \n“Are You Ready?” \n“Standby” \n“Start Signal” \n—————–shooter finished field of fire——————- \n“Unload and Show Clear” \n“If Clear\, release slide\, Hammer Down or Cylinder Closed and Holster” \n“Range Is Clear” \n“Stop” Can be signaled at anytime \nField- Range 7 A & B \nAre we there Yet? \n1 shooter w Instructor at Field A and same at Field B \nMinimum 10 rounds needed. \n  \nRules- \nLane 1 \nInstructor discusses dry fire practice and then shooter dry fire at 7 yard paper target\, \nthen load and live fire 2 rounds following Range Communication (RC). \nMake Safe. \nLane 2 \nShooter starts firearm pointed at cone\, then following Range Communication (RC) live fire 2 rounds at the target. \nMake Safe. \nLane 3 \nShooter starts firearm pointed at cone\, then following Range Communication (RC) live fire 2 rounds at each of the two targets. \nMake Safe. \nLane 4 \nShooter starts firearm pointed at cone\, then following Range Communication (RC) live fire 1 round at the 12” round target and then 1 round at Red stop plate to finish. \nMake Safe. \nContinue the Fun- \nAfter the Fun Shoot “Are we there Yet?” Shooters can continue practice with the Bianconi Plates. \nOutcome- \nShooters build confidence while shooting steel\, learn new Range Commands and the shooter practices making their firearm safe and clear multiple times during the course. \nSign up Now!

DESCRIPTION:Pine Ridge Shooters Club\nRifle Poker Shoot\nSept 20th\, 2021\n10:00 am\nOutpost Range\nCost: $10.00 \n\nIf you have a Membership of any kind at Outpost Range\, the cost event will be $2.00 (one card swipe).\nFor Day cards it will be 15.00 as well\nThere will also be a $10.00 entry fee that will go toward prizes and target costs.\n\nLimited to 10 participants. \n\nAll range safety rules apply.\nRifles only. Caliber limited to range rules.\n• Bipods and sandbags are allowed.\n• No shooting vices will be allowed.\nAll shooting will occur on the 100-yard range.\nYou will of course need to bring your own Rifle and Ammunition as well as hearing\, eye protection and Chamber Flag.\n\nAny questions Please contact Chris Lane at 352-419-3035 \nTHREE POSITION RIFLE SHOOT \nThree positions:\n• Standing\n• Sitting\n• Prone \nTarget: NRA sanctioned 100-yard\, high power rifle\nDistance: 100 yard. \nCaliber: Per range rules.\n• Scopes and iron sights permitted.\n• NO shooting vices or sleds will be permitted. \nRecommended Equipment:\n• Shooting matt\n• Spotting scope\n• Bipods and slings are permitted for this event.\n• Water\, water and water. \nRules\n• All shooters will shoot from the same position.\n• Shooters will start from the standing position.\n• Once in position\, and the RSO deems the range safe\, the order will be given to commence firing.\n• Each participant will shoot 10 rounds from each of the positions.\n• Once the shooter has completed his/her 10 shots\, they will leave the chamber open\, place a chamber flag in the barrel\, and place the weapon on safe.\n• The shooter may then step back to the covered area\, leaving the firearm in place.\n• Once all shooters have completed the round. The RSO will call the range cold.\n• The shooters may go back to the covered area to cool off.\n• There will be a ten-minute break between rounds.\n• After the completion of each round\, the targets will be replaced and brought back to the firing line for scoring.\n• Scoring will be done by the shooters.\n• Each target will be scored by two different people.\n• Shooters are not allowed to score their own target.\n• In event of there being more than 30 shots on an individual target\, the lowest scoring shot will be deducted.\n• A miss\, or shooting another person’s target will count as a miss.\n• The highest score wins. Tie breaker will be a closet to the bull shoot out. One shot each. \nSign up now
