Caliber limited to range rules.\n• Bipods and sandbags are allowed.\n• No shooting vices will be allowed.\nAll shooting will occur on the 100-yard range.\nEach shooter will have a target with all 52 cards facing them.\n• There will be one (1) Joker in the center of the board.\nEach shooter will have five (5) shots.\n• If the bullet breaks any part of the card line\, the shot will count.\n• If a miss occurs\, the shooter will have to pay $1.00 for another shot.\n• The targets will be verified by club officers or range employees.\nAfter all participants have shot\, there will be an opportunity to shoot for wild cards.\n• The Joker placed on the center of the board is the wild card.\n• The wild card will cost $5.00. Only one wild card is allowed.\n• Hitting the Joker previous to the wild card shoot will be counted as a miss.\nThe poker hand will be determined by the official poker rules according to Hoyle. DESCRIPTION:It’s time to meet again:  6pm Monday November 1 at the Pine Ridge Community Center – – can you believe it’s NOVEMBER already?!?! \nI attended the A Girl and A Gun Fall Fest 2021.  This was my second Fall Fest and was even more fun than the first one.  At our Pine Ridge Shooters Club – Women’s Group (PRSC-W) meeting we’ll discuss different competitive disciplines and how they make us better shooters and keep it fun for us.  I’ll show videos of some of the competitions and we can critique\, laugh\, and be entertained by some of the shenanigans (safety first) that go on during competitions. \nLori Roth and I ran another Pistol 101 last Saturday and had 10 ladies in attendance.  Some took the course for the second time\, which is a great idea.  There’s a lot to pistol shooting\, and no one can be expected to take it all in the first time.  We’ll run another course in January.

DESCRIPTION:Happy new year everyone!  Hope you had a merry Christmas\, happy Hanukkah\, or joyous whatever. \nOur next Pine Ridge Shooters Club Women’s Group meeting will be in a week:  Jan 3\, 6PM.  Remember\, we’ll go out to dinner afterward for those who’d like to join us. \nTopics for next week will be to announce the newest chapter of A Girl and A Gun\, tell you about AG & AG and why you might want to join it.  We’ll then open the floor to any topics you want to discuss and plan topics for upcoming meetings.   \nTo summarize this first year of our shooters club\, on the Women’s Group side\, we held show and tells for pistols\, rifles\, and shotguns\, accessories and gear bags\, and holsters.  We played with laser pointers to show effective use of cover in a defensive situation\, practiced handling malfunctions\, did some dry practice with dummy rounds\, I showed some videos of the fun I had at the AG&AG Fall Fest 3-gun competition\, and we held a pistol cleaning session.  I ran 3 (or was it 4?) Pistol 101 courses followed by a women’s shoot at Outpost Range.  Did I miss anything? \nFor the next year\, we can replay any of the previous\, or cover new subjects that you’re interested in.  FYI\, at the February 15th general meeting\, we’ll have a US Law Shield representative\, an attorney\, and a former law enforcement officer come talk about gun laws and what you need to know if you have to use your gun in self defense. \nIn summary\, we covered a lot of ground this past year and I need your help charting the course for next year.  Thank you for participating in our club\, and I hope to see you soon. \nSue \n  \nP.S.  Pistol 101 has now been broken into 2 sessions:  Introduction to Pistol Shooting\, and Intro part 2.  We already have a full Intro part 1 class for Jan 8 and will hold another in mid-late Feb.  Intro part 2 will follow in March.  More details soon.

Clearing that field of rats with your trusty shotgun has left your ammo belt and ammo can even more dire straits. Luckily you did find some pistol rounds and the right caliber. But now you have bigger issues\, a hole in your water jug and running low on water… the essential of life. \nAt this point its survival mode! Your going to have to return back where you scavenge before to find a water-can or container but Marauders are everywhere. Water is heavy and you need to carry out as much as you can. Use your strong hand to carry the water and learn to shoot with your weak hand is key. \nWith radiation blowing everywhere get in and get out as time is not on your side.

The 25th is on a Friday. \nWho: Any person with little prior archery experience and up. \nLocation: Held at Outpost Range Indoor Archery Range. \n-2930 South Cauthen Pt. Lecanto\, Fl. 34461. \nParticipants: A maximum of 28 shooters. \nAge: 8 Youth to Adult. \nFee: $40.00 one-time fee per person to join the league competition. \nEquipment:  Bring your own or rent with minimum of 5 arrows and have an Outpost Range Card. \nDivisions: Open Class to any style Archery. To get as many points as possible you need- to know your limits. \nThe know your limits drill (KYL) is a great way to practice your marksmanship skills. \nTarget consist of 7 targets sized from bigger to smallest: 8/7/6/5/4/3/2″ \nRules \nThere are 7 targets in total. Hitting a target allows the shooter to progress to the next smaller target or opt out to keep his points. \nThe shooter can opt to stop at any time. If the shooter proceeds to the next target and takes the shot but misses he loses all of his points and is out of the match for that round with a score of zero\, hence the name “know your limits”. \nThe target stand is placed at 50 and 100 yards depending on the match. These matches are Open Division where shooters may fire from the prone\, sitting\, or bench positions using bipods\, sand bags and rear bags as rests. Iron sights\, red dot or optics are allowed- Basically shoot with the accessories you have and have Fun. \nTargets must be shot in order\, largest to smallest. Target must visibly “swing” to be counted as a hit (Range Officials decision is final). If a target is shot at and missed\, you lose all accumulated points for that set. If a target is shot out of order\, you lose all points for that set. You may stop at any time and keep all points earned for that set. If time runs out and you have not missed\, you keep your points for that set. \n•   A Match is 3 sets shot. Score for a match is the total from those 3 sets. \n•   Target point assignment: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 = 28 possible points per round \n•   There is a 3-minute time limit per set starting at the buzzer after load and make ready. \n•   NO COACHING – Shooter is responsible for hitting correct target\, doping wind\, etc. \n•   Scores are announced at the end of each match.
