As a target shooter or new to firearms…
Do you tense up When you hear the words “Competition”?
Do you start thinking “I’m not ready for this”, “ I don’t think I’ll need that, or even “Im not good enough to compete.”.
Outpost Range is offering a new program “No new shooter left behind”.
This program is designed to promote new shooters to try shooting steel and join in with the monthly Pine Ridge Fun Shoots.
This new program offers:
Large size targets for practice with basic marksmanship.
No worries of competing against another shooter or a Timer.
Friendly staff are Guiding you every step.
Come out and have Fun with other New shooters.

Program Outline:
Start with meet your Instructors Presentation.
-a quick informative Safety Briefing/Hand gun fundamentals/Shoot Steel discussion.
Range Communication or Commands-
“Make Ready”
“Are You Ready?”
“Standby”
“Start Signal”
—————–shooter finished field of fire——————-
“Unload and Show Clear”
“If Clear, release slide, Hammer Down or Cylinder Closed and Holster”
“Range Is Clear”
“Stop” Can be signaled at anytime
Field- Range 7 A & B
Are we there Yet?
1 shooter w Instructor at Field A and same at Field B
Minimum 10 rounds needed.
Rules-
Lane 1
Instructor discusses dry fire practice and then shooter dry fire at 7 yard paper target,
then load and live fire 2 rounds following Range Communication (RC).
Make Safe.
Lane 2
Shooter starts firearm pointed at cone, then following Range Communication (RC) live fire 2 rounds at the target.
Make Safe.
Lane 3
Shooter starts firearm pointed at cone, then following Range Communication (RC) live fire 2 rounds at each of the two targets.
Make Safe.
Lane 4
Shooter starts firearm pointed at cone, then following Range Communication (RC) live fire 1 round at the 12” round target and then 1 round at Red stop plate to finish.
Make Safe.
Continue the Fun-
After the Fun Shoot “Are we there Yet?” Shooters can continue practice with the Bianconi Plates.
Outcome-
Shooters build confidence while shooting steel, learn new Range Commands and the shooter practices making their firearm safe and clear multiple times during the course.
